On behalf of the North Yorkshire Agricultural Show, we would like to express our sincere thanks to the previous owners of Otterington Hall, Mr and Mrs Preston, for hosting our show for many years. We are so grateful and we wish you all the very best for the future. 

Now under New Ownership, with the kind permission of the new owners of Otterington Hall, this is where we will be holding our 2026 Show. The Show will be held in the beautiful parkland of Otterington Hall, a Grade II listed hall that dates back to the early 19th century. 

Otterington Hall is situated on the A167 half a mile North of the village of South Otterington, and 3 miles South of the market town of Northallerton and 6 miles North of the historic market town of Thirsk well known for its connections to James Herriot. 

The Show is a great day out for all the family with over 100 stalls with something for everyone. There are Tradestands, craft stalls and locally produced food stalls, various Catering Units, Farrier demonstrations, Vintage Tractors and Cars, a Fun Dog Show, Show Jumping, Light and Heavy Horses, Cattle,and Sheep and much more. 

Some of the main attractions at the Main Ring include The Grand Parade of Champions, a Fun Dog Show, and the Parade of the Hurworth Hunt Hounds, with many more events to come. Please check the website for updates.

We are also offering an option to “Treat your Father” to a day out at our show for Father’s Day with the opportunity to buy a ticket to enter the show and also to purchase a voucher for a sit down meal. These can be pre-booked by contacting the Secretary email Secretary@northyorkshireshow.co.uk and requesting the appropriate voucher and this will be sent to you prior to the show. 

We have made several changes this year to our website and application forms, Please make sure you look out for the new application/ entry forms online. The new forms may have small changes to individual sections so therefore please read them all carefully. If you have have any problems Please contact the Section Secretary

There is ample free parking available, with designated areas for disabled drivers and blue badge holders. 

Please note that dogs are welcome on the show field; however, they must be kept on a lead at all times. Please do not leave your pet in your car at any time on the show field or car park.

Attractions: Enjoy a variety of displays, including farrier demonstrations, light and heavy horse competitions, and a local food and craft marquee. There is a dog show and back for 2026 Show jumping
